The press release referring to the inaugural PAAFTJ Television Awards presents two errors, one of which refers to the nomination episode of actress Eden Sher, nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her work in “The Middle”. The release informs that she’s been nominated for her performance in the episode “The Concert”, when in fact she was nominated for her performance in the episode “The Test”.
The other error refers to one of the nominees in the Best Supporting Actress in a Miniseries or TV Movie. The list of nominees informs that Ellen Burstyn has been nominated for her work in “Coma”, when in fact “Coma”‘s airing has been rescheduled to September 3, 2012 and the program is therefore not eligible for the award. That mistake arises from Burstyn’s mention in a longlist put up by the PAAFTJ in early April, where her name was next to that of the correct nominee, Tammy Blanchard, for her work on “Of Two Minds”. This coincidence caused the misunderstanding that led to Burstyn being listed among the nominees in the press release instead of Blanchard, when in fact “Coma” hasn’t even aired yet.
The two mistakes are being corrected by our publicist, and the official lists will be updated soon with the correct information. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
